I am backward compatible

I am a Technological Dinosaur. What do I mean? First, I am old. Medium old to be sure (I am only 43) but old enough to be lost in a sea of electronic gadgets that is often bewildering. Here are a few examples of what I mean. A "PDA" to me was a pocket calculator. We played music on small radios that were all the rage in the 1970's. My first video game console had only one game: Pong. Computers took up whole buildings. Cable TV simply did not exist until the late seventies. When cable did arrive, there was only one movie channel, Home Box Office (Not HBO... that is more modern than what we had), and there was only one version of that.

As time went on, we saw the developement of all the technology most people use without much thought. Dinosaurs like me are having a really tough time catching up with all of it. I have a cell phone... but I only use it to make phone calls, and only because there are no more pay phones... anywhere! I don't use my phone for data, that's what a computer is for. Don't even ask me for a text message... I can text but it takes about a thousand years for me to finish even a short message.

That's it for now... my brain is tired from all this alien activity!
